In order to determine the root cause(s) of an accident, incident or near miss, there is no activity more important than a proper Accident Investigation. However, the majority of employees are not properly investigating accidents which result in injury or property damage, nor are they showing enough concern for the warning signs of incidents or near misses. This program is designed to provide Safety Coordinators and Supervisors with the opportunity to learn the process of accident investigation, and will enable you to prevent an accident from reoccurring and injuring you or another worker.

This one day course will discuss the reasons for doing proper investigations, how to prepare, legal obligations, the essential elements of an investigation, and how to collect and bring together all the facts to create an accurate picture of what really occurred.

Accident Investigation is a critical element of an effective safety program and this optional training is highly recommended.
