A
good safety program requires two basic elements to be effective:
-
A recognized set of standards to follow; and
- A
method to measure those standards through evaluation.
Safety
program audits evaluate both the functioning program and the management
practice behind the health and safety program.
The
Auditor Refresher Course is designed to further develop your health
and safety program through the audit process and to refresh MHSA
Peer Auditor's external auditing skills.
The
course covers the MHSA audit document and audit process in detail
and also reviews basic auditing skills such as conducting interviews,
proper writing techniques and audit presentation skills.
Successful
participants are Re-Certified as MHSA Peer Auditors.
This
one day course is compulsory for all MHSA peer auditors every three
years.
